Savings Accounts

At EECU, we offer a wide variety of Share Savings Accounts to give you real flexibility in meeting your savings needs. Savings Accounts are insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government.  For more helpful information on savings, be sure to check out the links at left.  You can also visit our Home & Family Finance Resource Center and get online answers to your savings questions.

Sub-Share (Savings) Account

Perfect for "emergency money," vacation cash, or any other funds you wish to keep in a separate account from your main savings. Money can be easily transferred to and from these accounts. Features and benefits include:

Minor Savings Account

We encourage our young members to begin the habit of saving money early in life. Features and benefits include:
  • $5 to open and maintain account
  • Special 4Kids account for kids ages 0-12; Cash Crew account for youth ages 13-17
  • Dividends paid on balances over $0
  • Free OptionTeller ATM Card
  • Account access via ATM, telephone, online, or in person at any EECU branch   

Holiday Wise Club Account

Saving for holiday shopping has never been easier. Make monthly deposits into this account throughout the year. Features and benefits include:
  • $5 to open account
  • Dividends paid on balances over $0
  • No minimum balance required to maintain account
  • Make deposits in person, or via ATM, phone, online, payroll deduction or automatic transfer
  • Club savings are automatically transferred in November to your Savings or Checking account
  • Account automatically renews each year

Federal Regulation D allows for a maximum of six (6) withdrawals or transfers from your Savings account each month using the following methods: Checking overdraft protection, Personal Telephone Access (PTA), Online Access, Member Service Center, Fax, Pre-authorized automatic ACH transfers.

If you need to make more than six withdrawals or transfers in a month you can do so by mail, EECU or Co-Op ATMs, or by visiting a branch.
